I was tagged to do the The 2015 Book Academy Awards Tag by the awesome Marie at “marielikesbigbooks”.
Thank you so much Marie!
Even though Marie adapted the tag to fit her readings this year I opted to stick to the original tag categories. So here it goes:
Rules:
- Thank the blogger who tagged you, linking back to their site
- Present your choices for the thirteen points
- Tag more bloggers to do this tag
My Answers:
- Most Kick-Butt Heroine
Considering I read both Throne of Glass and The Hunger Games this year I have to say THIS IS REALLY REALLY HARD! And I can’t do it. And I’m going to randomly pick one: Celaena Sardothien from the Throne of Glass Series.
- Most Intelligent Heroine
Tessa Grey from The Infernal Devices Trilogy.
- “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer” – Name a character that overcomes major obstacles and learns to believe in themselves.
Geral Faust from Reality Boy. It was an astounding evolution to read about!
- Most Swoony-worth male character
Jace Herondale from The Mortal Instruments Series, I mean please.
- Best political drama
The Hunger Games Trilogy. (It fits in the political drama category, right right?)
- Best star-crossed lovers
Oh My God Rose and Dimitri from the Vampire Academy Series! They can’t get a break, what breaks is my heart, for them…
- Best surprise (twist, cliff hanger, or ending)
Shadow Kiss‘s ending. I’m not going to spoil anyone but seriously, I just couldn’t believe it when I read it. Why Richelleeeeee?
- Best fairy tale retelling
I didn’t read any, sorry guys, no nominates!
- Best “didn’t expect to like it, but loved it” book
Smart Girl by Rachel Hollis, wihtout a doubt a surprise. (Read my review here if you’re interested in finding out more about this book and my reading experience).
- Best side-kick or best friend character
Maybe the one I’m currently reading because I’m loving her so much: Nicole from Thicker Than Water.
- Best debut author book
Allen Wolf, who wrote Hooked this year. (Read my review here if you’re interested in finding out more).
- Best “little known” book
Maybe The Felix Chronicles by R. T. Lowe… It was both a pleasant surprise and a very enjoyable read, I’m really looking forward for the second book! (Read my review of the first book here if you’re interested).
- Best series, overall
If it’s a series I have to have finished then The Hunger Games Trilogy, if not then the Throne of Glass Series !
- Best Book, overall
(Both these last points are reall hard!) Hummm, Ready Player One by Ernest Cline.
