And to wrap up this year nicely, here’s my top 5 favourite books I read in 2015!
-
NUMBER FIVE: SMART GIRL
This book turned out to be way more than I expected. It was a really important read for the time I was in….
-
NUMBER FOUR: THE ASSASSIN’S BLADE
The whole Throne of Glass Series is great but I loved loved reading about how Celaena Sardothien became the Celaena Sardothien we read about in Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight.
-
NUMBER THREE: MOCKINGJAY
Well, you all know why. Awesomeness in book form.
-
NUMBER TWO: FIFTY-TWO WAYS TO LOVE YOUR BODY
This book changed my prespective of myself and others deeply. A must-read.
-
NUMBER ONE: READY PLAYER ONE
This book was perfect!!!!
Feel free to share your list in the comments’ section below 😉

Top fives are hard given it’s a whole year! Lol! My bet is anyone else would find this list boring.
[5] Tubes – Andrew Blum. For me this is a must-read. You’re on the Internet. Do you know where it came from?
[4] Below Stairs – Margaret Powell. This book was an eye-opener! It made it possible for me to see why the Irish women in my fam are so independent and in charge.
[3] The Penguin Book of Vampire Stories – Two Centuries of Great Stories with a Bite – John Polidori, Bram Stoker, Lord Byron, and many more. The best single book I’ve ever read on the historical origins of the phenomenon of vampire fiction. THE best.
[2] Sindarin-English & English-Sindarin Dictionary – J-M Carpenter. I know it sounds boring, it’s not. Studying the language gives a real insight on the culture Tolkien designed. 🙂
[1] Color Harmony in your Paintings – Margaret Kessler. Ever see those Pros/Cons lists about being a woman artist that say ‘Relax, no one will ever mistake you for a genius’. This woman is a genius.
2016 I’m looking forward to: Pop Painting: Inspiration and Techniques from the Pop Surrealism Art Phenomenon by Camilla d’Errico! XD

Oh, thanks! Same to you! I’ve seen what you read last year in one of your posts. Lol! I think I’d have to give up writing and painting to get to a list that expansive! Speed reading, It’s a hardcore bookish skill. 😀 Cheers and Happy New Year!

The Throne of Glass series is on my TBR list! What do you suggest I read first: Assassin’s Blade or the series??

The series definitely, because then you go to the Assassin’s Blade and it’s like all the pieces of the puzzle fit. But there are no spoilers in any of them so you can read them in wathever order you want 🙂

I didn’t expect to enjoy Read, Player One as much as I did – it’s hardly my usual cup of tea. But what a fun ride!
