One Sentence Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by Rebeca at “Books and Messy Buns”. Anyone can join, you just have to do the following:
- Pick up the book you’re currently reading (or read last)
- Think about what it made you feel so far
- Describe it in one sentence
-
- Make a post in your own blog where you share your sentence and link back to my blog as the host
- Share the link to your post in the comments’ section here for the book community to see 🙂
Note: Please refer the host of the meme (this blog/this post) in your own post and leave a comment down below with a link to your 1SW so all the participant can have a look and share their thoughts too!
My Sentence:
“Quite the disappointment…”
– about Mean Girls Club by Ryan Heshka
That’s pretty loaded, ‘Quite the disappointment’. A nice pregnant phrase! I just read the line ‘It is notable that in the oral traditions of primitive people there is no conception of accuracy or originality or plagiarism’, checked the original publication date, and saw it was 1953. Which explains so much about the language in this book.

Reblogged this on A Storybook (by Denise Claas) and commented:
I am reading Crystal Magic (Clearwater Witches #1) by Madeline Freeman.
My feeling states:
The taste isn’t brilliant, but will try it again.

I am currently reading Atonement by Ian McEwan. Here is the one sentence I am posting for Rebeca’s OSW meme:
Pg. 39. The truth had become as ghostly as invention.
This book is filled with many beautiful ideas and sentence. I have a few others on my blog if you would like to see more: https://slothsandsweets.wordpress.com/2016/01/20/sentance-wednesday-3/

I am really enjoying OSW. It is such a clever idea! I find so many sentences or passages I want to share, but I don’t want to have to go into depth into each one. 🙂
