My Answers:

  • Who will be your soulmate?

Jace Herondale from The Mortal Instruments series. I don’t even need to think twice! I just wouldn’t like to have Clary’s life… the boyfriend though, I would not hesitate! He has the exact type of humor and sarcasm that I love and don’t get me started on his looks… I always imagine him looking like a teenage Alex Pettyfer, my number one crush since I was 12.

  • How will you two meet?

We will bump in to each other at the most famous bookstore in my city, which is an attraction to a lot of turist due to its beauty. But we would meet at a time of the day where there were mostly locals there and the environment was quiet and calm.

  • Where will you live?

Alicante. But we would each travel everyday to his city and mine for work and appointments and then go back home at the end of the day to be together.

  • What job will he have?

I would be a Computer Engineer as I’m supposed to be “in real life” and he’d be a sculptor. He would travel a lot looking for different woods and metals. You could see the passion on his work and how he always stayed up late to perfect it. In those nights I would bring him a cup of hot chocolate. (I don’t understand anything about sculpture so please ignore me if I’m saying stupid things!) Sometimes he would go hunting demons with Alec and Izzy.

  • Fill the gaps (how any kids will you have? how will you die? etc)

We would have three kids, two girls and one boy. We would live a long happy life, travel a lot, teach our kids archery, go on long walks. And we would die on sunny and warm days (plural because it’s a day for each of us), surrownded by our family and feeling satisfied with the life we lead.

My Answers:

  • A popular book or series that you didn’t like

Anna and the French Kiss. Not that I didn’t like it, I just certainly didn’t love it as much as I was expecting to and definitely thought it was overhyped… Sorryandpleasedon’tmurderme!!

  • A popular book that everyone hates but you love

Maze Runner. This series got some hate on Booktube but I think most people agreed that this is something you either hate or love, there’s little in between here… And I loved it! Especially The Kill Order, I mean “OMGOMGOMG”!

  • A love triangle where your ship did not sail

The Casquette Girls. A part of me really wanted Nicco and Adele to end up toguether… but who knows? There’s still a second book that should come out sometime this year!

  • A popular genre that you hardly reach for

Percy Jackson. Middle Grade stuff, the only exception being Harry Potter and Percy Jackson because yes.

  • A beloved character you didn’t like

I don’t have one! #sorrynotsorry hahaha

  • A popular author you can’t get into

Stephenie Perkins… I mildly enjoyed Anna and the French Kiss and Lola and the Boy Next Door but they were nothing close to what I was expecting! I guess there was too much hype going around and I got kind of carried away…

  • A popular book series you have no interest in reading

I know some people felt “nhe” towards this series and other loved it but honestly I don’t see myself reading Victoria Aveyard’s Red Queen anytime soon. I just thing it will be a lot like other series I already read and I’m a bit bored of…

  • An adaptation you like better than the book

The Great Gatsby. This is literally the only movie I enjoyed way more than the book, literally!

I was tagged to do the The 2015 Book Academy Awards Tag by the awesome Marie at “marielikesbigbooks”.

My Answers:

  • Most Kick-Butt Heroine

Considering I read both Throne of Glass and The Hunger Games this year I have to say THIS IS REALLY REALLY HARD! And I can’t do it. And I’m going to randomly pick one: Celaena Sardothien from the Throne of Glass Series.

  • Most Intelligent Heroine

Tessa Grey from The Infernal Devices Trilogy.

  • “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer” – Name a character that overcomes major obstacles and learns to believe in themselves.

Geral Faust from Reality Boy. It was an astounding evolution to read about!

  • Most Swoony-worth male character

Jace Herondale from The Mortal Instruments Series, I mean please.

  • Best political drama

The Hunger Games Trilogy. (It fits in the political drama category, right right?)

  • Best star-crossed lovers

Oh My God Rose and Dimitri from the Vampire Academy Series! They can’t get a break, what breaks is my heart, for them…

  • Best surprise (twist, cliff hanger, or ending)

Shadow Kiss‘s ending. I’m not going to spoil anyone but seriously, I just couldn’t believe it when I read it. Why Richelleeeeee?

  • Best fairy tale retelling

I didn’t read any, sorry guys, no nominates!

  • Best “didn’t expect to like it, but loved it” book

Smart Girl by Rachel Hollis, wihtout a doubt a surprise. (Read my review here if you’re interested in finding out more about this book and my reading experience).

  • Best side-kick or best friend character

Maybe the one I’m currently reading because I’m loving her so much: Nicole from Thicker Than Water.

  • Best debut author book

Allen Wolf, who wrote Hooked this year. (Read my review here if you’re interested in finding out more).

  • Best “little known” book

Maybe The Felix Chronicles by R. T. Lowe… It was both a pleasant surprise and a very enjoyable read, I’m really looking forward for the second book! (Read my review of the first book here if you’re interested).

  • Best series, overall

If it’s a series I have to have finished then The Hunger Games Trilogy, if not then the Throne of Glass Series !

  • Best Book, overall

(Both these last points are reall hard!) Hummm, Ready Player One by Ernest Cline.

My Answers:

  • “You’re A Mean One, Mr Grinch” – Name a villainous character you couldn’t help but love.

Niccòlo Medici from The Casquette Girls. I couldn’t help it!

  • “All I Want For Christmas Is You” – Which book do you most hope to find under your Christmas tree?

I’m just going to leave a link to another one of my posts here, just check it out.

  • “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer” – Name a character that overcomes major obstacles and learns to believe in themselves.

Geral Faust from Reality Boy. It was an astounding evolution to read about!

  • “Santa Claus is Coming To Town” – A character at the top of the naughty list/ a character at the top of the nice list.

Hmmm, this is a tricky one… I think I would go with George and Fred Weasly from The Harry Potter Saga for the naughty list and Cath from Fangirl for the nice list.

  • “Frosty The Snowman”  A book which just melts your heart.

Just One Year by Gayle Forman. Oh my……

  • “Feliz Navidad”  A book that takes place somewhere other than your home country.

The Casquete Girls by Alys Arden takes me to New Orleans in the blink of an eye.

  • “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of Year”  Which holiday themed book do you use to spread Christmas joy?

Let It Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle.

  • “Sleigh Ride”  Which fictional character would you choose to spend the holidays with? (Doesn’t have to be a love interest.)

I would really like to have a reading sleepover with Hermione Granger from The Harry Potter Saga.

  • “Baby It’s Cold Outside”  Which book that you didn’t like would you sacrifice to a fire to keep yourself warm?

The Dream Walker by Michelle Lee Murray, undoubtably.

  • “Do You Hear What I Hear?”  Which book do you think everyone should read?

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. (Go read ittttt).

My Answers:

  • Do you have a favourite Winter read?

I’m aware this might sound weird but  I started this series last Winter and now I keep relating it to Winter time… So: Percy Jackson!

  • Find a book with blue on the cover

I tried to keep it Winter-y… (Plus I got late for a ballet rehearsal two Winters ago just to finish this baby…)

  • Find a book you would use as the star on a Christmas tree

Just because it’s so bright and golden and pretty!

  • Pick one fictional place that would be perfect for a Winter vacation

Alicante, Winter there must be so great, I can imagine the lights reflecting on the towers and Christma’s decoration, and oh my!

  • Pick one fictional character you would take on your Winter vacation

George Weasley… We would have so much fun and I’d get to meet the whole Weasley family!!! (I’d be very supportive btw!)

  • Name one book on your wish list this year

Hummm… There are a lot but the one series I want to get my hands on the most right now (probably because of all the fuss there’s been due to the cover change and its meaning) is The Winner’s Trilogy.

  • Favourite holidays drink, treat and movie?

Drink: Tea
Treat: Chocolate anything (I’m not picky)
Movie: How the Grinch stole Christmas

  • Count your age along your bookshelf

(19 years old and the 19th book on my shelf.)

  • Pick a book in your city/state/country

(Sorry it’s in Portuguese! My city is Porto and this is An Adventure in Porto. You can even see one of the monuments of the city in the cover 😉 )

  • Pick a book that represents a destination you would love to travel to

(Sorry, Portuguese again, I know. This is One Day, I would love to go back to England ❤ )

  • Pick a book that is your favourite color

(Seriously though, if you visit my blog what were you expecting? Most shades of pink.)

  • Which book do you have the fondest memories of?

(Harry Potter. Always.)

  • Which book did you have the most difficulty reading?

(I know this is huge and oh-so-acclaimed and honestly, I was a bit surprised myself to be so bored by it. I’m very into roadtrips and discovering yourself stuff so I really thought I would like it…)

  • Which book in your TBR pile will give you the biggest sense of accomplishment when you finish reading it?

(Ana Karenina is my classic book goal for this year.)
